Online booking for the 2008/9 season is now open from September 1st 2008 to April 30th 2009.

Beacuse PayPal does not accept Thai Baht your deposit payment (if any) will be requested in Euros (EUR). Here is the Yahoo currency converter which we use. (opens in a new window). Your balance will be due on check in in Thai Baht. See the THB/EUR tab above for more details. We also add 5.25% to your deposit payment to cover our PayPal costs.

Walk-in Rates We reserve the right to change our walk-in rates at any time. Availability Check for real time availability but don't click a date in the popup; it won't work! Rate Guarantee We reserve the right to change our rates without notice but once you have a confirmed reservation your rates will not change.

Booking Agents We do not have any arrangements with any booking agents or hotel booking websites. Some websites show us to bulk out their listings but if you try to book, they will tell you Funky Hut is full even when we are not. They then suggest hotels which pay them the best commissions! We prefer to deal directly with our Guests so that you get what YOU want from your vacation and not what an agent can sell you. NO agent or hotel booking website can give you a confirmed reservation at Funky Hut. Don't pay any agent for a voucher for Funky Hut - it will be a fake!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Online Booking You can make a confirmed reservation where your room is confirmed online. You may be asked to pay a deposit through PayPal within 24 hours to confirm so after booking, please check your email. Children under 6 (six) years old stay free if sharing a room with an adult. Please do not include them in your "Guests in your party 6 yrs and over" but let us know in the Special Requirements box on the Booking Confirmation page. If we ask you to pay a deposit it will be in EUR and on arrival, your balance will be due in THB. Please see the THB/EUR tab above for more detailed information. Please see below for email booking.

Email Booking If you prefer you can make a booking enquiry. We try hard to process requests same day but if we are busy it sometimes takes longer. If we have availability we will give you a provisional booking which will require a subsequent PayPal deposit payment within 24 hours to confirm. If this is you please click here.

PayPal does not accept Thai Baht as one of its transaction currencies. When we ask for your deposit through PayPal it will be converted to Euros at the prevailing rate and will include the 5% PayPal charges we have to pay. This will represent your 50% deposit.

Once you arrive at Funky Hut we use Thai baht so your balance will be due at our Thai baht rates which are:

Advance Activity Bookings
Listed below are activities which our Guests have been on regularly and which all get rave reviews.
During holiday weekends and over Xmas and New Year advance booking of activities is HIGHLY recommended! However we do require advance payment for these reservations. You can select them as EXTRAS when you book online. You pay for one ticket when you book. We will contact you after you book to get deatils for dates and total numbers.

• Motorcycle Rental (฿250/day) or a car (฿1,500/day) which we can pre book for you with the local hire company. The bike will be here for you when you arrive!
• The Ban Kwan Chang Elephant Experience (฿900 per person) gets full well in advance during busy periods. You will ride the elephant for 1.5 hours, swim with them and get up close and personal. A really great half day out!
• The Bup-Pha 8 island Snorkeling Cruise (฿995 per person) is the best and most relaxed of all the available boat trips. You get to visit 8 islands (Koh Wai and Koh Maak included) and snorkel on the best reefs in the Marine National Park.
• Swim with the Dophins (฿1,400) is a one day trip to the Chanthaburi Marine Wildlife Park where you get to swim with a pod of dolphins. Places are limited and advance booking is essential. Trip is all day with pickup from Funky Hut, all meals and a visit to a Temple enroute.

Last year we were full from Dec 22nd through Jan 3rd.

For Xmas and New Year this year we will not be making our rooms available through our online booking system for any bookings starting or ending between Dec 23rd 2008 and Jan 2nd 2009. Instead we would ask you to drop us an email with your requested dates, the number of rooms you need and the total number in your party with the ages of any children 15 and under.

We will again be offering our traditional Xmas Lunch and New Years Eve Gala dinner. Xmas Lunch will be 1,650 baht per person and the New Years Eve Dinner will be 1,850 baht per person. Please also indicate in your email if you want to join us for either or both of these celebrations and the number of places you need.

Children under 6 stay free provided we don't have to supply extra bedding but they do count in the Guest totals.
No check outs on Dec 24th, Dec 25th, Dec 30th, Dec 31st or Jan 1st.

We are a small family run business where late cancellations mean others have usually been turned away so deposits are non refundable if you cancel less then one month before arrival.

If you have travel isurance for your holiday you are normally covered for loss of deposits.

If you are requesting a refund within 59 days of making your payment and the request is made more than one month before the booked arrival date and you paid your deposit by PayPal, we will simply refund your PayPal payment in full at no cost.

OTHERWISE

Refunds are subject to a 17.5% processing cost, normally take about 7 days to process and are made to your PayPal account in Euros at the exchange rate applied at the time you booked.
